Chime Time
That's why I never look at anything that reminds
Of the smaller portion of life that still remains
For me to attempt on all that I can lay my hands
Be it art or song or whatever that my mind plans
Don't read me wrong, it's not that three aren't woes
But they're just thorns as I hold the precious rose
When I reminisce the lovely past and the peaceful present
I am only positive the future will also be pleasant
How are you calm, ask my friends, amid stress,
The secret is in mind, they don't seem to guess.
A still hour of silence early in the dawn and late before bed
Gives me the strength to face the day ahead.
Live for the day, is what my doctor tells
Count your blessings, is what my teacher yells
If what I do or say comforts anyone in any way
That's all I need, I think it made my day
"He" has been so kind to me give all I wanted
Such a great blessing, I never take for granted.
Good people, good job, good habits and good times
Ample enough to count, every time the clock chimes
